Charles Leclerc commented on the rumors about the transfer of Frederic Vasseur to Ferrari.


Vasser and Leclerc had already worked together at Sauber (now Alfa Romeo). It is assumed that the head of the Swiss team will take over the post of head of the Scuderia, vacated after the departure of Mattia Binotto.


Ferrari is different from any other team. I can only say that I had a good experience working with Fred. Even in the younger episodes, Fred believed in me, and we always had a good relationship. But, of course, this should not influence any decisions.

Mattia called me to tell me he was leaving. I respect his decision and can only thank him. He believed in me from the very beginning, signed a very, very long contract with me. Before taking the helm, he worked for the Scuderia for many, many years and contributed to the team`s success.


So I wish him all the best. Now we need to focus on the future. We will try to make the right decisions to challenge Red Bull next year.
